Preparing to Sell Your Home

So you’re ready to sell your home.  Where do you start?  Your first step should be finding a Realtor who can help you prepare your home to sell.  Selling your home can be an emotional as well as a financial decision.  Ivory Towers Realty wants you to have an edge in the market and make certain your house is seen by the largest number of qualified buyers and sells at the best price possible. We can provide you with:

Comparative Market Analysis
Property Valuation
Multimedia Exposure
i.e., online with various websites including Realtor.com, local newspapers, real estate publications
Marketing Strategies
Interior design staging, to help you show your home to its best advantage
Virtual Tours
Open Houses

“Curb Appeal” is something you’ll hear when selling or buying a home. It is important that your home makes a clean, inviting impression inside and out when it shows. If possible, “de-personalize” your home so that potential buyers can visualize the home with their personal belongings. And make the potential buyer feel more comfortable (this means removing as many personal items such as pictures, unnecessary furniture & knick knacks out of the home and storing them). And while your home is being shown, it is a good idea to leave and take any pets with you. This would be a great time to do some shopping or taking a walk.

The checklist below is designed to help you to prepare your home to sell. If you have any questions about selling your home, call one of our friendly and professional real estate agents.  Remember, you don’t get a second chance at a first impression!
